My Book Review - Lace Vengeance by Eve Dangerfield

This is the third and final book of the series, and I loved it! Welcome to a dark Snow White retelling. Instead of the 7 dwarfs, there are 4 hot possessive men.

January fell for the men who kidnapped her, and they would burn the world down for her. I love reverse harems where each guy has a different personality, and Eve Dangerfield nailed it with this one! Not only are the men jealous and protective of January, but she would do anything for them. Dynamics like this are *Chef’s Kiss*

Now January is seeking vengeance on her stepmother and her ex-fiance. This story is full of twists and turns that keep the suspense high! I highly recommend this dark and delicious series!

“   Tesorina! How’s your shift going, you pretty little slut?  ”

About the Author

Eve Dangerfield has loved romance novels ever since she first swiped her grandmother’s paperbacks. Now she writes her own stories about complicated women and gorgeous-but-slightly-tortured men. Her work has been described as 'genre-defying,' 'insanely hot' and ‘the defibrillator contemporary romance needs right now'...and not just by herself or those who might need bone marrow...OTHER PEOPLE! She lives in Melbourne with her boy and a bunch of semi-dead plants. She can generally be found making a mess.

Harbored In Silence by Carrie Ann Ryan

Blurb:

A witch on the run who could save the world–or destroy it with one touch

I am who they fear.

The Harvester Death Witch.

The one who holds the power of their fate in my hands.

Or at least…that’s what they whisper.

The coven has fallen. The vampires are circling our den. And if we don’t find new allies, our Pack won’t be able to fight much longer.

On my Alpha’s orders, I must find others who hide beneath the shadows for not only our protection, but theirs as well.

Only I’m not alone on my mission.

I brought Cruz back from death once before, and though I know the goddess forbids it, I’d do it again.

Because he’s my mate.

And my ending.

My Book Review - Harbored In Silence by Carrie Ann Ryan

Cruz and Dara’s story is everything I hoped for! My favorite book of the series so far! The secrets, betrayals, and of course the steam- another book I just couldn’t put down.

I NEEDED to know the consequences of Dara’s actions when she brought Cruz back from death. They are now linked, but not by the typical mating process. Cruz believes Dara could be his mate, but this link feels different.

With everything going on with the vampires, Dara requests to recruit more witches to assist with their cause to save the pack. Upon approval, she sets off on her road trip and Cruz is required to go along to offer her protection. You can feel the inner turmoil with Cruz.- his wolf wants her, but he knows something is off and can't wrap his head around it.

I love Dara. I knew she would play a huge role within the Aspen Pack. Her connection with Cruz builds throughout the story and when everything comes together, it’s perfection. I can not wait for the next book!

“   Cruz. Just fuck me already. I need you.   ”

Conclusion: Should You Read This?

1000% YES!

First Blood by Faedra Rose

Blurb:

Holly Maxwell has been waiting tables in outback pubs and dive bars for as long as she can remember. Never settling in one place, she’s a vagrant with dreams—until Roach Bane enters her world, swinging fists and smashing faces to defend her honor.

My Book Review - First Blood by Faedra Rose

Well then…I would like to submit a formal request to be the FMC in Book 2. I mean Holly didn’t just end up with One sexy AF Biker… she got two …. yes, please!

So let’s dive in. Holly, the FMC, is a curvy 30+ year waitress from a small town. She happens to catch the eye of Roach, the president of the Blood Brothers MC.  Their connection was instant and the trust Holly placed in Roach was admirable.

Yes, this book is spicy, as are all of Faedra’s stories; however, that’s not what had me addicted… It was the kink exploration. Holly had her sexual bucket list and trusted Roach with the details of her darkest and sexiest desires. He made that shit happen! I really want to go into detail with this one, but spoilers are not my thing so you just have to read it.

Another unique aspect of this story is how this relationship goes from two to three.  Roach’s love for Holly runs deep. So deep that he will do anything to ensure she is always protected. He loops in his VP, Bull, to help with a rescue mission, and decides to offer him a proposition. The next time these gorgeous men see Holly, their minds are blown.

“   Baby girl, I want to give you the world and make your fantasies come true.  ”

Conclusion: Should You Read This?

Trust me- this book does not disappoint and will rock your world! I couldn't put it down and am anxiously awaiting book 2! HIGHLY recommend!

Bewitching the Devil by Sara Faulkner

Blurb:

600 years ago, Lucifer learned of the cracks forming in the walls of his kingdom. He assumed things were hopeless until an old hag informed him of the one destined to save them. For centuries, Lucifer, Levi, and Nox searched for the woman that would be Hell’s salvation. When they finally found her, everything went up in flames. Now, the Devil refuses to ever get close enough to another human for it to happen again, Hell be damned.
Until Della.

Bewitching the Devil is book one of two in the Hellish Flames series. It is a paranormal why-choose romance meaning, in the end, the main character does not choose between her love interests. All characters are over the age of eighteen. This series contains mature subject matter that may not be suitable for all readers.

My Review

I love a great Devil story!

Della, the FMC, has a one-night stand, with a very sexy Luc, who she met while out with friends. The following day, life is back to normal, and a potential client looking for a vet requests her presence at their home. While on-site she meets Nox and Levi, both of whom show her a lot of interest.

The guys- Luc, Nox, and Levi have been through this before. They know what is fated and what happened last time. This left Luc devastated and fearful of doing what is required. They just know she is the key to fixing the cracks, but is it worth the possibility of losing her?

Ugh, I loved these men and the way they are with Della as well as each other. This book is beautifully written and the suspense of what would happen next kept me from putting it down. They needed her but she needed to process everything. She fell for them hard, which made her different from the last girl they lost.

This book ends on a cliffhanger, but is soooo worth it!

“   Nox meant what he said, Della. You’re ours now, and we always protect what’s ours.  ”

My Book Review - Rising Queen by Alisha Williams

Let’s just kick this off with the thought that lasted the whole book. Neo is life. I fell quickly for this character as he is perfectly unhinged. I was addicted to this book. The hurt, betrayal, and secrets- I was hooked and felt for all the Characters.

Queenie made a life for herself, she survived the worst and vowed to make her world into a safe place. The men needed financial help to save not only what their fathers destroyed, but the one thing that held their hearts. When they heard about Queenie, they hoped she would be the key to saving it all. Little did they know, the woman they were relying on, was a piece of their past that they destroyed.

Everyone should read this book and then continue on in the series. It just keeps getting better!

This book was amazing, but as always check the trigger warnings. There aren’t just retellings of traumatic experiences, there are present-day ones that will grab onto your heart and refuse to let go. In all honesty, as sad as it may be, these pieces of the story are needed to truly let the characters shine.

“You have no idea how many wet dreams I’ve had of us fucking bareback in a pool of blood.” - Neo

Conclusion: Should You Read This?

Everyone should read this book and then continue on in the series. It just keeps getting better!
