Blurb:

My best friend is dead…

The man I love vanished…

My last name was synonymous with loss, that’s what happens when you grew up a Kalashnik. I never picked this life, one filled with death and games.

To survive I had to dedicate myself to revenge when I was forced to join The Elite, a privately funded team working outside the law and willing to do whatever it took to find the worst criminals.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for any of them… let alone all of them.

I was supposed to be finding the man I loved when the truth was so much worse…monsters always lurk in the shadows.

No one saw it coming. Including my own f*cking heart.

Unknown is a full length adult romance with dark and suspenseful tones. Trigger Warning for unaliving, torture, and mentions of human trafficking. This is a why choose romance, meaning our baddie main character has more than one love interest. This is the first book in the series and does end on a cliffhanger.

My Thoughts

I usually don’t start a review by touching base on the ending but wow….just wow. I was left speechless and it took me a while to be able to form the words to explain how I truly felt. In the span of a few pages, this book had me feeling happy, anxious, surprised, and happy again, then….. my freaking heart broke (but in the best way possible).

To be honest, I don’t recall how I came across G.P. Darling, but I am soooo happy I did. I read this book in one day, staying up into the early morning hours. I’ve also learned my husband is a truly patient man- when I told him “I need to know what happens with Nat and King” and he took over all parental duties.

Natalie, Agent Kash, can be described as a strong FMC with a traumatic past and secrets no one can find out about. When she joined “The Elite,” the men on the team didn’t seem too thrilled to have her there. She continued to surprise them with her skills and proved her worth. When she is asked to look into a child’s disappearance, she quickly realized this is more than an isolated situation and her secrets may be discovered.

The characters in this book worked amazingly together. Not only the reverse harem (which I’ll get to in a second) but the dynamic between BJ, Natalie, and Marcela was also amazing. The guys…perfection! You have the controlling (& praising) Stryker, the sweet Conrad, and finally the tough guy with trust issues, King. Together they are the perfect group of men!

I LOVED this book and may or may not have started a countdown to when the next book will be released…
