Blurb:
When orphan girl Alice inherits a huge stately home from a deceased relative she thinks she's hit the jackpot but her dream quickly turns into a nightmare when she's somehow transported to another world where everyone thinks she's a mythical Fae complete with magical powers.
"Think of a darker, sexier version of Alice in Wonderland and this really is it!"
In a world where all Fae belong to the High King and with a war raging, Lesser Kings will do anything to get their hands on her.
Can Alice learn to not only survive in this new world but thrive and perhaps even love?
My Thoughts:
Soooo good. That’s exactly what this book is! The world-building was great and I felt like I was truly in this other world. The characters were relatable and their relationships were not easy to guess. When more characters appeared throughout the story- I thought I knew how the relationships would build, but nope. There were more, happy, surprises. The plot- was on point and the ending…❤️❤️❤️
Alice only had one family member left, her uncle. When he passed away, she was truly alone. She inherited a home that has been in her family for years. Alice decides to tour the property surrounding the house when her life changes forever.
Fae, that’s the word she keeps hearing but can’t seem to wrap her head around. Some see her as worthwhile to protect, while others want her dead. It’s pretty apparent as to who falls into those categories except, Prince Fain.
Prince Fain is fighting his own internal battles. He hates Fae and now he is to protect one. Deep down, he knows Alice is different, but he refuses to allow himself to accept it.
If you love fantasy, enemies to lovers, multiple POVs, and seeing the FMC overcome their hard past- this book is for you! This is not your typical Fantasy read, as many of the main/secondary characters are human- but again- soooo good!!!
I can’t wait for Book Two!!
