My Review of Court of Death

There were sooo many things to love about this book. Why did I read it? Because in Court of Nightmares, the god of death fascinated me- so I had to get my hands on his stand-alone. The author also has an amazing talent when it comes to world-building and character growth. The FMC (Avea) was a badass, who had no problem putting the god of death in his place. Throughout the story her secrets slowly become unlocked and the puzzle pieces start to move together. The MMC (Mors), was intrigued by her but still demanded respect, in the hottest ways ever 🥵 . He agreed to make a deal with the FMC, which kept her around so he could learn about the woman that fascinated him. Side note: I’m also a sucker for mythical creatures, and loved the ones that made an appearance in this book! If you’re looking for a dark-fantasy romance, filled with secrets and unknowns, a protective MMC AND FMC, I 100% recommend this book.

Book Review: Twisted Desires by Faedra Rose

Faedra Rose will always be one of my top go-to's for a short, steamy read. Continuing in her monster series of stand-alone novellas is Twisted Desires. Just when I think I can't be surprised anymore, in comes a Kraken.... a very sexy one at that!

Bethany the FMC, has some shitty friends. She finds herself alone on All Hallows' Eve after they turned their backs on her, and she decides to not let the night go to waste. Her dangerous plan of kayaking at night turns into something that will forever change her world. 

The Kraken, has the upper body of a sexy human male, with the bottom half being made up of 8 tentacles...Pause and let this one sink in 🥵😉 Anyways, he has a goal - find a mate - and he set his mind on who he wants. Bethany has a decision to make, to leave her life behind or move forward with this mysterious creature. 

I couldn't put this book down. Faedra gives you enough details upfront to know where the mindset of the main character is. Then you are pulled right into the danger, tension, steam, twists, and turns. I also LOVE that Bethany is a curvy woman. It adds that piece of reality, where readers can relate to the FMC, even with all the fantasy aspects of the story. Another great story by an amazing author.

My Review

I went in reading Reign of Hell House with mixed feelings. I didn’t want to see this series come to an end; however, I had to know what happened! 


This book was the PERFECT ending to the series. This is yet another book I just couldn’t put down, as there were so many twists and turns. Salem and Skye will forever be two of my favorite FMCs. and those men... well they will also be the reason you’ll find me re-reading this series over and over. 

Dakota, you amaze me! 


In Reign of Hell House, we are thrown back into a world that Skye and Salem are trying to navigate. They are learning more about their past, their family, and their powers. All while finding themselves head over heels for the men who stand by their sides. 


The men, I fall more in love with them throughout each book. Not only does their bond with Salem and Skye grow stronger, but their relationship with each other seems to do the same. They become one force that will go to battle for the women they love and nothing will stop them. 


I also can’t forget to mention Satan. I mean, who wouldn’t love the hellhound that caused Salem to dub herself "mommy" all while he tried to rip the men to pieces?

My Review

This book starts out intense, Splice finds himself in a situation that he didn’t expect, and with a few more houseguests. Maisie, the FMC and one of the women rescued, knew it couldn’t get any worse. She agreed to go with Splice and his crew, but still didn’t fully trust him. 

This book had a lot of wins for me. First, the dangerous MMC was the hero, who isn’t really a hero, but not 100% a Villain, just a "bad" guy who still did heroic shit. I hope you kept up with that one. Then there was the nickname - I LOVE when men find cute and creative nicknames for the FMC. It just makes their relationship so much more personal and relatable. This novella is also a dual POV and the spice was 🔥🔥

My Review

Devy is a librarian with a hyper-sex drive. Her past relationships never seemed to fulfill her needs. Her exes proceeded to make her feel like something was wrong with her, and her self-esteem plummeted. 

After accepting an invitation to Club Rapture, Devy is met by the three men who are eager and willing to sate all of her desires for the night. They seduce her while ensuring all of her needs are being met. 

I loved how the men were with Devy. Not only did they bring all the steam and spice, but they were prepared to make sure Devy knew her needs were not a fault. They approached her with positivity and slowly started to raise her self-esteem. Of course, after so much pleasure, walking away from each other was not going to be an easy feat. 

Conclusion: Should You Read This?

This book will suck you in and it won’t let you go! I’ll just be over here counting down the days until Part 2 is released. Highly recommend….go read this one now!
